    1. Do your research

After deciding on your holy land destinations, it’s time to research it properly. Many solo pilgrims like to play it by ear without doing any research. Research means you must also consider your flights, accommodations, and booking of your Umrah. As you know, flights airfares change daily depending on the destinations. Wouldn’t it be best to save some pounds by doing early research? You should check the different travel agencies’ websites and book the package as you want.

    • Make a to-do list.

Making an itinerary before your flight can play a primary role in collecting memories. Undoubtedly, you will perform Umrah as a solo; you should also make a list of the activities you should do in your remaining days.

Think here about some variations, like if you are a male or female solo traveller. Wouldn’t it be best for a female solo to travel in an organized group for Umrah? But what preferences are you considering, the things you should be comfortable with according to your plans? For example, you can add shopping activities, exploring the old markets, and visiting historical sites to your to-do/bucket list.

    • Let someone at home know your travel plans.

Share your itinerary with your loved ones or folks in your home for security. You don’t have to give up your independence, but telling a family member or friend what you are doing is a good idea. Although performing Umrah in Saudi Arabia is safe for every Muslim, meet with your loved ones before departing. But if your home is empty, use social media to post where you are travelling.

    • Pack light for Umrah.

You are travelling for Umrah, which is a religious duty. This is an honest tip, not for solo travellers but for all. Packing light can lead to a lot of benefits.
